Day 0   departure from your country

Day 1   arriving in Mombasa Airport and transfer to Motorsafaris Base in Msambweni

You will be picked up from the airport in Mombasa by a driver from Motorsafaris who will take you to SawaSawaBeachHouse in Msambweni in about 2 hours. Relax with a snack and a drink on the beach or at the pool. Test drive on the motorcycle in the Shimba Hills, money withdrawals, the last shopping.

Day 2   Msambweni - Sagala Lodge

We avoid Mombasa by taking the inside road via Kwale and dirt-road going to Kinango.

New roads are made with asphalt and soon we arrive at the Mombasa Highway.  Depending on the weather and available time we can take an inside road, the so-called ‘rally-road’. We arrive before dark in the lovely ‘Sagala Lodge’. Nice rooms and a swimming-pool!

Day 3   Sagala - Oloitikitok

After breakfast we depart and take the Voi-Taveta road. New asphalt through Tsavo East National Park heading to Tanzania.  Chances to see elephants and other game. Before we reach Tanzania we branch into what we call the ‘Rombo Road’, 70 km. of tough dirt-road. We are approaching  the Kilimanjaro and if the weather is good we can see Kibo-peak and Kilimanjaro-peak. Overnight in a cosy lodge not far from Amboseli National park.

Day 4   Amboseli safari-day

This day is reserved for an optional visit to Amboseli National Park. That means getting up early because the Kilimanjaro and the wildlife are best seen in the early morning. Elephants, zebras, giraffes, lions and much more, beautiful nature with great photo moments and the impressive snowcapped Kilimanjaro in the background.

Costs 12,000 Kenyan shillings (€ 110) for entry, transport and nice lunch...

Day 5   Oloitikitok - Mto Wa Mbu  270 km, TANZANIA

Early morning border-crossing to Tanzania at Tarakea. The ride starts in pine-forests and climbs up to 2400 m. on the northern slopes of Kilimanjaro. Agriculture takes over. The old lava soil is fertile and we see maize, wheat and even tomatoes on the Kilimanjaro. 50 km. of beautiful dirt-road and new tarmac again. Suddenly we brach to a dirt-road again on the way to the Nairobi-Arusha connection. This asphalt-road brings us to Mto was Mbu where we will spent 2 nights.

Day 6   Mto Wa Mbu  safari-day

A lovely day in the famous Serengeti

Day 7   Mto Wa Mbu - Moshi  203 km

Day 9   Lushoto mountain-ride  120 km.

A wonderful ride in the dense populated mountains. The soil is fertile and rain is common here. So it became  an agricultural area. Valleys are irrigated and planted with vegetables. The ride today is relaxed and the views are fantastic.
